In this physical exploration of text, director Citra Pratiwi (Indonesia) responds with sheer manic improv. Pussyfoot is about the desperate delay of catastrophe in love, in life. A heightened awareness of sensuality and obsessive focus on the body, on violence, on manipulation, is substituted over and over again in this dance. The intense confessional tone of text becomes an obsessive destruction in dance.
